Getting ready for the festive season

It’s nearly the end of the year! WOW! How did that happen so quickly?! It's getting to that time of year when people start thinking about going away on holiday, so it seems timely to remind you all that your pet MUST be up to date with their vaccinations, to stay in boarding facilities! Book in today if your pet is due and we'll make sure they have everything they need for their boarding stay.

We've had an extremely busy couple of months here at MyVet Byron Bay. We have seen a few tick cases recently, so be sure to keep up to date with your pet's preventative treatments. Dr Russ has performed quite a few orthopaedic surgeries over the past couple of months and Dr Susie has been busy with a number of behavioural cases. We have had locum vet, Dr Douglas Wilson, in for a few days last month as well, so if you've been in recently, you may have had the opportunity to meet him - he has been covering a few days when our vets have been away and comes to us with many years of experience.

We are currently in the midst of making some fairly significant changes to our daily running of the clinic. With the increase in workload, we have decided to increase our staff and will eventually (very soon) open up a second consulting room, meaning that there will be more times available for consultations throughout the day. This will make it easier for everyone to get an appointment and will also let our vets get that lunchbreak they deserve and so often miss out on! You will start to see familiar faces (mainly Dr Susie and Nurse Amy) here more throughout the week, as they will be picking up extra shifts very soon.

We hope you've all enjoyed the recent rain (after that long dry period!)... the grass is definitely greener!
