Susie graduated from the University of Glasgow, in her native country of Scotland, in 2003. Since then she has volunteered in Thailand, worked in Melbourne, Sydney, Scotland and the Byron and Ballina shires. Susie has a keen interest in surgery and specialises in Animal Behaviour (she’s pretty good at putting up with our behaviour too!). She is an accredited AQIS Veterinarian and, as such, is qualified to carry out the examinations, treatments and paperwork required for transporting pets overseas.
Susie is equally passionate about the well-being of every animal that she treats. Her wide range of experience stems from not only treating but also owning many different types of animals over the years. Her passion, knowledge and training sometime override her discretion – so don’t be offended if she tells you your dog is overweight! She really just cares about the health of your pet.
She has two small children, a cat and a husband (in order of importance, of course! HA!). She also likes to bust a move on the dance floor, whether it be Bollywood dancing, or the local 80’s disco. If you’re around Byron Bay, you might be lucky enough to be entertained by her.
Susie has been at MyVet Byron Bay since 2013 and our team wouldn’t be the same without her (who’d eat all the biscuits and remind us that we need a cup of tea?!).
